The general design of the Hôtel du Suquet is based on the principle of discovery, the revelation of Aubrac. Architecture is rigorous as the country and takes up its codes and materials - light, plant and mineral - to interpret them in a pure, contemporary way. Divided into three zones (restaurant & rooms), the slender buildings are arranged perpendicular to a draille, axis “Access route - Laguiole church”, strong view of the place.
The rooms sometimes close the sky, sometimes soak up the garden, spaces in Aubrac. The escape is guaranteed. Since this place that we wanted magic, Aubrac stages itself through points of view, framing, for the pleasure of all our senses. An Aubrac that reassures us about the true values of good and beautiful.

The Bras family has taken the side, since the creation of the Suquet, of a global approach focused on respect for nature.

The establishment of architecture has been thought of so as to blend into the landscape and preserve ecological continuity for biodiversity. The construction was carried out with local materials (granite, slate, wood, etc.).

Everything has been thought of in the sense of a preservation of nature (use of certified products, paper reduction, waste management, water management, reasoned mowing, etc.), as well as a valuation of it (collaboration with farmers, market gardeners and other local producers, who practice reasoned agriculture).

The European Ecolabel (Certification number: FR/051/222), tourist accommodation service, which has the Hôtel Bras du Suquet since 2013 is awarded to establishments that are engaged in specifications "based on the environment" common to all European Union countries.

Always concerned with preserving the environment, we invite you to participate in this approach by these few gestures:

Reduction of energy consumption

• Close the bay windows when heating or air conditioning are running (+ this avoids insects in bedroom)
• Turn off the lights before leaving the room using the general switch, as well as the ones

Water management

• Be sure to close the taps

Waste management

• To facilitate sorting, leave the glass, the bottles, the newspapers on the table
• Place your used batteries at the reception
• Do not throw hygienic protections and wipes in the toilet, be sure to use the trash provided for this purpose

On foot, by bike or by car, discover the curiosities of Aubrac, the landscapes marked on the high plateau, the lakes, the waterfalls, between large flowery pastures and dense shaded forests.
