A place between land and air
Installed on the puech of the "Suquet", named after this little Mont on the heights of Laguiole, the building disappears in the landscape as it takes its purity and its material: stone, light and air.
Architecture: Pig and nature
The suck, surprising building in balance between land and air which defies the elements has been shaped, in a spirit of total harmony with the landscape. It was designed in 1992, with the complicity of architects Éric Raffy and Philippe Villeroux and refurbished with Thierry Chalaux and the A+B agency. Architecture, rigorous as the country, resumes its codes and materials: light, plant, mineral. Luminous place where only the infinite interrupts the gaze, where granite and slate suggest the burons, this construction as the country which shelters it is gradually revealed. Thus, the Draille - old shepherd's path - which crosses the buildings, reveals and points to the village of Laguiole as through a fault.

A table in the landscape
Upon arrival in the living room, housed on a prominent part of the building, above the void, the landscape grabs you almost dizzy. Difficult not to be caught up with the wide glass surfaces that plunge on the Aubrac plateau as far as the eye can see. The discovery of the dining room with a striking panorama happily extends this feeling. Suddenly arises the intuition that these welcoming tables will be the witnesses of a strong moment.
A tailor -made design
Véronique and Sébastien, with Toulouse designers Anika Perez and Brice Genre, imagined objects and furniture as so many elements constructed for a conversation with the culture of the country. Wood, leather and granite find a natural place. The dining room armchairs, with a comfortable leather, reveal themselves behind a small discreet slit, which could be that of an elegant skirt. The refined trays of the tables seem to float. The knives, contemporary drawings of the Capuchadous of the Aveyron peasants, welcome the guests. The bread awaits his guests on a thick board, sheltered by a single thick white sheet, reconciling beauty and simplicity. Delicacy in details that give a soul to the place.
