The Bras shop in the heart of Laguiole
For several years, the Bras Boutique in Laguiole has been a repository for many products and secrets of the Bras universe, located at 1 Place de la Patte d'Oie, in the very center of the village.
A place made of natural materials, bathed in light
The boutique was designed by A+B designers Hanika Perez and Brice Genre, who have collaborated with the Bras family for a long time. "Here, we emphasized the presence and authenticity of local materials that express the Aubrac region: granite and golden ash wood, highlighted by lighting design. The space is open-plan, allowing the eye to travel from the street to the courtyard to amplify the feeling of brightness," they explain.
Niacin, the magic ingredient in Bras' cuisine
This shop carries all of the Bras family's "Niacs." "They're the magic ingredients that give a real kick to any dish," explains Maryline, the shop manager, assisted by Sonia. The current favorite is made with sprouted and dried Planèze lentils, candied orange peel, salt, and Sichuan pepper...from the Lagardelle garden. This powder transforms any dish into something truly special. You'll also find their latest creations, guaranteed hits for those lingering appetizers: spreads, a sort of new kind of hummus. The blond pea spread, flavored with carrots and onions, then softened with walnut oil, is a must-try, as are the saffron spread and the classic cheeses—goat cheese, Bleu des Causses, or Laguiole and apricot—which some people eat by the spoonful, they're so addictive. The honey caramels from the Lagardelle beehives, served to accompany the cheese at the Suquet restaurant, are the sweet "hit".
